Nathan Friedman - CEO

My 20 year career in Medtech Innovation has been across a broad range of technical, business and leadership roles, resulting in several successful product development and commercialization efforts. I thrive in the fuzzy front end, and leverage clinical and market insights combined with a strong engineering and design background to develop unique products that solve tough problems. I have over a dozen patents, and have led teams both large and small to innovate in a multitude of clinical areas, and develop unique solutions in challenging product, technology, and business areas.

I have direct experience in a variety of medtech device and technology application areas including cardiovascular, structural heart, neurovascular, soft tissue repair, wound healing, lymphedema, neurostimulation, orthopedics, and electrophysiology.

In 2012, I decided that I wanted to branch out from my engineering background and learn more about business, so I founded a microbrewery in addition to my engineering and innovation career. I ‘learned about business’ by growing Wanderlust Brewing Company into a very successful on-site taproom and statewide wholesale distribution footprint over the next 11 years. After navigating industry changes, increased competition, and a global pandemic I successfully sold the business in the summer of 2023.

What do I love to do? Solve tough problems, plain and simple.
